We were on our way early this morning weighing anchor at 0630. It was a nice sunny morning (no fog) and we had a decent forecast calling for light wind in the morning and about the same in the afternoon. On the eastern shore we have found the forecast about 50:50 as far as accuracy and have been kicked more than once, so with a calm morning we were making time with the motor and were through Andrews Channel by 0730 and heading off shore for Liscombe. As the morning passed we had a little bit of wind and unfurled the genoa mostly just as a steadying sail to combat the big Atlantic swells nut we did pick up a knot. The weather remained calm and clear all day today which is a blessing for sure and we finally dropped our anchor in Cameron's cove just out from the lodge. Tonight we had a real treat Joyce deiced to try out the oven and we had our first Pizza on board. We were both a little nervous with the propane etc... But everything was fine and the oven worked like a charm. This was the best pizza ever and we had a beautiful sunset in Cameron's cove to keep us company while we enjoyed our gourmet meal with some homemade red wine…awesome. Wow 1st leg of the eastern shore completed yippee! Let’s see how we fair tomorrow, so far the weather looks good… mmmmm.
